'Vet for your Pet' section is brought to you by Dr. Sunil Srivastava of Delhi. He has earned a bachelor degree in Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry and is a practicing veterinarian since 1984. He is an ardent animal lover and very passionate about the cause of Animal Rights. His love for animals has known no bounds, he has always tried to attend every case day or night which was brought to his notice, always provided suggestions to animal lovers, volunteers and activists, encouraged compassionate people, provided knowledge to ignorant and straightened animal abusers, knocked the doors of ministers and authorities for animals, instilled a seed of compassion among the young ones, etc. His respect for all animals made him adopt veganism, a lifestyle which causes least harm to sentient beings.
In addition to allopathy, Dr. Srivastava has over 15 years of experience in alternative medicine such as homeopathy, ayurveda, reiki and naturopathy. He chooses to treat acute emergency cases with allopathy and chronic cases with alternative medicines as it may have to be consumed for longer period of time and it has less or no side effects compared to allopathic medicines. But the main ingredient to cure or keep an animal companion healthy is love and sympathy.
In this section, we aim to address the common health conditions faced by our companion animals and street friends. Dr. Srivastava suggests allopathic, homeopathic, ayurvedic and naturopathy treatment for each condition. The suggested treatments can be used for our furry and four legged street friends too.
