The “new” Karmapa is very wonderful indeed.<br />“for one thing the Dalai Lama is the only head of a religion who ate meat openly” I would say it is correct to say that the Dalai Lama is the only head of a religion who has his diet examined publically. What other heads of the world’s major religion, or leaders are vegetarian except in Hinduism and Jainism.<br />That said I have spent a lifetime in the same cause of influencing Tibetans not to eat meat.
